Terms

Terms of Service.

The rules for using Mica, the browser by lessnoise, on Windows and Android, and its optional account.

Effective 26 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and lessnoise, the developer of Mica ("we"). By installing or using Mica or the Mica account service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Mica.

Who can use Mica

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

The app

Mica is free. We let you install and use it for personal and work browsing. Don't sell Mica itself, pass off modified copies as ours, or use it to break the law.

Mica shows websites made by other people. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. The same goes for extensions you add on Windows.

The built-in ad and tracker blocker works from bundled rule lists. It may sometimes block something you wanted or miss something it should block. You can turn it off for any site.

The optional account

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features, and we may change or stop the account service. If we stop it, we'll give notice where we can, so you can keep your data on your devices. We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use Mica after a change means you accept it.

No warranty

Mica and the account service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or able to keep every bit of data. Keep your own copies of anything important, such as exported passwords.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, lessnoise isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Mica. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Ending

You can stop using Mica at any time by uninstalling it and deleting your account. These terms then stop applying, except the sections on warranty and liability.
